Mirzapur Advance Booking Box Office: Film Eyes Rs. 20 Crore Plus Opening Day
Mirzapur: The Movie, starring Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu, is heading towards a strong start at the Indian box office after registering an impressive advance booking response ahead of its theatrical release. The film has already crossed the 100,000-ticket milestone at the country’s leading national cinema chains, indicating significant excitement among fans of the popular franchise.
As of 9 PM on September 3, Mirzapur: The Movie had sold around 106,000 tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis. With advance booking continuing until the end of the day and additional sales expected before the first shows, the final count is projected to finish in the range of 120,000 to 125,000 tickets.
The film’s overall first-day advance is estimated at approximately Rs. 7 crore nett, potentially placing it slightly ahead of Awarapan 2, a film with which its advance booking performance has been compared. Mirzapur has reportedly performed particularly well across Delhi-UP and several other Hindi-speaking circuits, although its advance sales in Maharashtra remain comparatively lower.
The release timing could provide an additional boost to the film’s opening-day collections. The holiday period is expected to improve current bookings, especially in Gujarat, where the Janmashtami festivities traditionally contribute to increased cinema footfall. This could help Mirzapur: The Movie push its opening-day earnings even higher.
Trade estimates currently suggest that the film is on track to collect more than Rs. 20 crore nett on its first day in India, with a strong possibility of reaching the Rs. 25 crore nett mark if spot bookings and walk-in audiences perform well.
The strong opening underlines the continued commercial value of established entertainment franchises. Mirzapur has built a massive fan following through its streaming success, and the theatrical adaptation appears to be benefiting from that brand recognition. However, the film represents a reboot rather than a direct continuation of the previous storyline, which may influence audience interest as the weekend progresses.
Competition from Hanuman Ansh, which continues to perform strongly at the box office, is not expected to significantly affect Mirzapur due to the difference in their target audiences. With excellent advance booking numbers and holiday support, Mirzapur: The Movie is now set for one of the most talked-about Bollywood openings of the season

Description:

Mirzapur: The Movie records impressive advance bookings and is projected to earn over Rs 20 crore nett on its opening day at the Indian box office.
