The trailer of Bandar has arrived, offering audiences a dark and intense look into Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming crime thriller starring Bobby Deol in the lead role. The film marks the first collaboration between the acclaimed filmmaker and the actor, bringing together two powerful names for a story filled with fame, controversy, crime and a brutal legal battle.
In Bandar, Bobby Deol plays Samar Mehra, a once-popular television superstar whose life appears to be spiralling out of control. The trailer introduces Samar as a man dealing with fading fame, loneliness and a public image shaped by his flirtatious personality. However, his already complicated life takes a dramatic turn after he connects with a woman through a dating app.
The woman, played by Sapna Pabbi, later makes serious allegations against Samar, accusing him of rape, blackmail and extortion. Samar, however, maintains his innocence and claims that she is stalking him. What follows is a tense battle that pulls the former television star into a complex legal system that appears deeply corrupt and unforgiving.
The trailer presents Bobby Deol in an intense and emotionally demanding role. From his moments of vulnerability to scenes involving interrogation and apparent prison torture, Bandar promises a gritty narrative exploring the consequences of fame, accusations and the fight to prove one’s innocence.
Apart from Bobby Deol and Sapna Pabbi, the film features an impressive supporting cast including Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Raj B. Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Riddhi Sen, Indrajith Sukumaran and Nagesh Bhonsle.
The screenplay has been written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, who are associated with acclaimed projects such as Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab. With Anurag Kashyap directing the project, expectations are high for a raw, unconventional and hard-hitting cinematic experience.
Bandar is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi’s Saffron Magicworks and backed by Zee Studios. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
With its disturbing allegations, prison sequences, courtroom tension and a troubled protagonist at its centre, the Bandar trailer sets the stage for a gripping crime thriller. Bobby Deol’s collaboration with Anurag Kashyap could deliver one of the year’s most intense and talked-about Bollywood films.
