Even after good practice sessions, Jurel reportedly looks for ways to make his batting better, whether through additional drills or more time in the nets.
India have effectively moved from choosing between Pant and Jurel to finding a way to accommodate both. That is a significant tactical advantage. Pant brings explosiveness and unpredictability, while Jurel provides control and composure.
For a team going through a period of transition, having a dependable No. 6 is a major asset. Jurel can extend India’s batting depth at home and provide valuable resistance in difficult overseas conditions.
